It determines if you can remain competitive. And more importantly, it defines the value of your products and services for you, your customers, and other stakeholders. This interactive workshop will provide you with strategies for selecting an appropriate pricing model for your business. Our featured facilitators, Chris Millard and Olga Pogoda of Donnelly-Boland and Associates, will first walk us through different pricing models, their pros & cons, and considerations when selecting one for your business. Then, using examples and activities, Chris and Olga will cover how to research industry factors and competitors' pricing; insights on confidently pricing early-stage products, services, and pilots; and simple equations to determine if your pricing is financially sustainable. The workshop will also explore quick and easy tools that help you efficiently and effectively track the impact of your prices on future revenue and finances. His previous roles include Director of Marketing, VP Operations, and COO across multiple startup companies, as well as a Program Manager at AlphaLab Gear, a hardware startup accelerator run by Innovation Works. He brings hands-on experience with Business Development, Marketing, Graphic & Web Design, Finance, HR, Operations, and wide-ranging back-office responsibilities. His experience as a technical project manager on multi-million-dollar R&D contracts across the DoD, DoE, and NSF has led to a specialization in proposal creation and execution of SBIR contracts and grants. Olga Pogoda, Business Operations Analyst at Donnelly-Boland and Associates, has built a career around her passion for the maker community and entrepreneurship, working with tech startups, community development organizations, and governments worldwide. She possesses vast experience in market research, site selection, and public relations. She’s worked with the White House and Department of Defense as TechShop’s liaison to the White House. And she’s worked for DARPA, the DoD, and the Hyperloop project as the company she founded, KRNLS. Olga represented the maker community for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy during the Obama Administration and was a proud member of the first leadership team at Nation of Makers, a nonprofit launched by the White House that benefits makerspaces and hackerspaces. Olga currently works as a Business Operations Analyst and DBA and serves as an EIR at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Computer Science as well as Treasurer for two nonprofit organizations; Community Forge and Women In Tech PGH.
