STAMFORD, CT — A loaded gun and large amounts of marijuana and crack cocaine were seized in an early morning raid at a home on Stamford's East Side early Wednesday morning, according to the Stamford Police Department. Tiffany Midgette, 42, of Stamford, was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and conspiracy at all charges, Capt. Richard Conklin of the SPD said. Midgette was able to post a $25,000 bond. At 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, officers from the SPD's Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad, along with the Special Response Team, patrol officers and a K9 officer, executed a search warrant at a home on Sheridan Street in Stamford. "Our investigation revealed that narcotics and perhaps guns were being stored and sold at this location," Conklin said. During the search of the apartment, officers seized 10.5 pounds of marijuana worth about $19,000, and 7.6 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale worth $760, Conklin said, noting that $3,260 in cash was also found. A loaded Taurus 9mm handgun with a high capacity magazine was seized, Conklin said. Officers are working to determine the owner of the handgun. "This was a good job by all. No one was hurt, and there were some very good seizures here," Conklin said. "This is very much an ongoing investigation. We anticipate additional arrests."
