HAUPPAUGE, NY — Positive Promotions, a Hauppauge-based company that provides advertisement and specialized goods for businesses for gifts and giveaways, laid off 236 workers, according to details on the New York State Department of Labor. The layoffs came in March as a result of the new coronavirus according to the details, and the closure is defined as "temporary." Patch's request for comment to the company was not immediately returned.
