HAMDEN, CT — A 19-year-old New Haven woman is accused of attacking another person with a knife Tuesday morning in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to a Warner Street address around 9:30 a.m. on the report of an assault involving a knife, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.
Dolan said officers found a 20-year-old female victim with a cut to the head.
The investigation found that the victim was attacked by a person with a knife when she was leaving a friend's house, according to Dolan.
Dolan said the suspect, later identified as Natalie Epps, was previously involved in a relationship with the person who lives at the house.
The victim was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening, according to Dolan.
An officer soon found Epps in the neighborhood.
Epps was arrested on charges of first-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. She was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond with a court date of May 19.
