The Darien Arts Center has announced 15 winners in its 7th annual Smartphone Photo Contest, Pic Darien. First Place cash prizes in all categories were awarded to adults and children. The contest garnered over 200 entries in eight categories, with submissions from all ages. Winners are as follows: PETS Adult - Nicole Rivard, Searching for Clarity Student - Myla Thomas, Edison LANDSCAPES Adult - Kathleen Nelson, The Blizzard of 2017 Student - Ayush Dave, The Sky's Roadmap ABSTRACT & ARCHITECTURE Adult - Nancy Breakstone, Black Water Dances Student - Ayush Dave, Brooklyn's Expressions FAMILY & FRIENDS Adult - Nancy Merritt, Fashion by Eloise Student - Sadie Mossa, Beatles Girl NATURE & FLORAL Adult - Nancy Breakstone, Crab Party Student - Desi Krasteva Gale, Broken Reflection FOOD & DRINK Adult - Trevor Cooper, A thirst for the outdoors quenched Student - Ayush Dave, Black Pearl TRAVEL Adult - Tara Leclerc, Perfect Morning SEASCAPES Adult - Henry Gioiella, Pear Tree Summer Student - Kathryn Roche, Toes in the Sand Kris Barker, Megan Dey, Tom and Anne Geary, Ben Larrabee, Peter Saverine, David Wagner, Terrie Wood and Jeffrey Wyant generously judged the contest, a fundraiser for the Darien Arts Center.
