OSWEGO, IL — The 16th annual Wine on the Fox event is set to take place in just over a week. Attendees will have the chance to mingle and choose from more than 100 Illinois wines to sample. The two-day outdoor event will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 7 and again from noon to 6 p.m. May 8 at Hudson Crossing Park, 65 N. Harrison St. As the event's name might suggest, the park is located on the east bank of the Fox River in Oswego. August Hill Winery, Galena Cellars and Oswego's Fox Valley Winery are a few of the wineries that will be at the event, which will take place rain or shine. Attendees who might want to switch it up and try craft beers, Oswego Brewing Company will be at the event as well. RELATED: Wine On The Fox Will Return To Oswego For 16th Year Ahead of Wine on the Fox, Oswego police are alerting drivers to expect delays on Route 34 through downtown Oswego. Police are expecting increased traffic between 10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Delays will also be possible on Madison, Washington and Main streets, according to police. Drivers are encouraged to consider alternative routes if they're not planning to attend the event. Parking for this event will be available at The Reserve of Hudson Crossing, the Village Municipal Lot on Harrison, Village Hall and on-street in the downtown area. Tickets to the wine festival are available in advance online. Admission is going for anywhere between $20 to $45, plus add-ons that include charcuterie boards that can serve between two to eight guests. The most affordable package includes eight wine tickets as well as a commemorative glass and wristband. Day-of tickets will be available May 7.
