NL VFW Post 9545 awards $7,500.00 in Scholarships to Local Seniors.

04/28/2022 At the Post Membership regular monthly meeting, on April 20, 2022, Harry E. VFW Post 9545, New Lenox, IL, awarded $5,000.00 in Scholarship funds to 5 deserving Seniors from Lincoln-Way Central, and Lincoln-Way West. These 5 students who are relatives of Members of Post 9545 each received $1,000.00 from the Membership. They are all attending College in the fall, and it was a pleasure to award them. VFW Post 9545 Auxiliary awarded each a Scholarship of $500.00 as well to help them in their future educational needs. Post Commander Tim Terrell, Auxiliary President Linda Paschall, and Scholarship Committee Chairman John Forsythe handed out the well-deserved checks. Congratulations to: Molly Forsythe, Kelsey McGivern Grace Denton Olivia Clare O'Connell Halie Forsythe In the last 5 years, Post 9545 has awarded approximately $30,000.00 in scholarships to deserving Seniors.
