Press release from the City of Omaha: April 27, 2022 The Omaha City Council has approved the City's representatives on the new Omaha Streetcar Authority. The City Council and the Metro Transit Board of Directors previously approved the interlocal agreement creating the Omaha Streetcar Authority. The seven-member authority will oversee the design, implementation, and operation of the streetcar. Mayor Jean Stothert recommended the Finance Director, Public Works Director, and Planning Director for the City positions. Metro Transit's representatives are the CEO, Finance Director, and Legal Director. The seventh member will be named by the Greater Omaha Chamber. This press release was produced by the City of Omaha.
