Description

The Town of Sharon seeks a qualified individual with thorough knowledge of the Massachusetts Electrical Code as well as the ability to read, interpret, and enforce regulations to serve as the Part-Time Electrical Inspector. Working under the Building Inspector, the successful candidate will enforce the provisions of the MA Electrical Code and inspect premises and installation of electrical equipment for conformance with specifications, plans, and requirements of the MA Electrical Code. Investigate complaints of alleged violations, coordinate inspections and appointments, and respond to telephone and email inquiries. Salary: $475/week for time spent during inspections. The number of inspections performed will vary week to week. Emergency, unscheduled inspections will be compensated on an hourly basis at $25/hour with a minimum 3 hour guarantee.
