OC Firefighters Lead Mock DUI Crash At Tesoro High: Photos

LAS FLORES, CA — Students at Tesoro High School received the lesson of their lives Monday afternoon as the Orange County Fire Authority held a mock DUI crash intended to simulate the many dangers of drunk driving. Courtesy of the Orange County Fire Authority The event is designed to teach students about the dangers of drinking or texting while driving, and is showcased by a mock car crash with an overturned vehicle. Several actors participated in the event and portrayed students involved in a DUI incident. Courtesy of the Orange County Fire Authority All the while, deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Department held field sobriety tests for those involved in the "crash." The mock DUI crash was held in collaboration with the Orange County Fire Authority, Friends Against Drunk Driving, the Orange County Fire Authority, the California Highway Patrol, Mission Hospital, Trauma Intervention Program, O'Connor Mortuary, Care Ambulance and Aliso Viejo Towing.
