The Town of Sharon seeks highly motivated, organized candidates for the full-time (37.5 hours/week) for the position of Operations/Forestry & Grounds Administrative Assistant with the Department of Public Works.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following: Fielding and responding to a variety of inquiries via telephone, email, and walk-ins, and maintaining various records including street opening permits, miscellaneous deposits, fuel deliveries, and fuel inventory. Processes billing for trash/recycling service and addresses customer issues related to the program. Position is also responsible for processing payroll and tracking employees’ time-off and benefits. Additionally, all other clerical work related to the Operations Division and Forestry & Grounds Division, as required.
Qualifications and experience: High school diploma; three years’ experience in general clerical and secretarial work involving bookkeeping, word processing, and customer services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Starting Salary: $45,725, plus benefits. Salary and benefits in accord with SMEA contract.
