BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook residence was the site of two reports of shots fired Wednesday night, and police continue to look for the suspects who fired shots at the home twice in one hour, police said Thursday.
Officers first were called to the 600 block of Cumberland Lane at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, when police said a man with facial tattoos approached the home and asked for a person by name. When he was turned away, the man started to fire shots while walking away, police said.
No one was injured, but the house was hit by gunfire before the suspect left in a silver Dodge Charger, police said.
Just after 8 p.m., police were called back to the same location after they said more shots were fired. Police said a woman arrived at the home after pulling up in her car. A person wearing dark clothing and a hoodie fired shots, one of which struck the woman's vehicle. No one was injured.
No description of the suspect was given as the person quickly fled the scene of the shooting, police said. A Bolingbrook Police spokesperson said he could not provide more information about whether police believe the same suspect was involved in both shootings.
Anyone with information about the shootings can contact the Bolingbrook Police Department Investigations Division at (630) 226-8620, or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at (630) 378-4772.
