Two men in a vehicle driving behind the BMW saw the crash and stopped to help, police said. They safely pulled Lhommedieu from the BMW, police said. There were no injuries.
Lhommedieu was charged with DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and multiple traffic violations. She was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and was scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
