The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have proven experience with Receiving, Inventory and Shipping our optical related equipment, tools and consumable products. We’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities. Reporting to the Distribution and Facilities Manager, we take pride in our organized and clean warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience (in a warehouse or retail environment) in receiving, inventory and preparing parts and equipment for shipment. Some requirements are: Hands-on general warehouse experienceReceive, inspect, inventory, document and store shipmentsAccurately and properly pick & pack parts and equipment ordersMaintain all supporting documentation for shipments (logs, files, reports)Schedule inbound and outbound parts/equipment shipmentsOperates forklift to move heavy equipment/boxesLoads/Unloads carrier trucks for pick-ups and deliveriesMonitors shipping supply levels for proper orderingDetermine the method of shipment to meet cost and arrival guidelinesAssists others in department when needed Qualifications: Must be able to work 8:30 am to 5:30 pm M- FAccuracy and attention to detail is critical in this roleIntermediate-level computer experience including Microsoft Office SuiteSolid work historyOrganized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workloadGood communication skills for interfacing with vendors, customers & managementForklift experience a plus Santinelli International is the leading distributor of high quality lens finishing equipment and a recognized innovator in the optical industry located in Hauppauge.
