I know how messed up this sounds considering what happened between us, but know that despite that, I’ve never stopped loving you. I wish like hell I didn’t. I also wish I hadn’t listened to everyone else. You hurt me and betrayed my trust, but I feel like we could have eventually gotten past that. Deep down I know us being strangers again is for the best. I just wish it didn’t hurt so much. You always told me where I stood. I just wasn’t listening carefully enough. You have your Sun and Moon. You don’t need another branch on your tree. The season has changed. I accept that. I just wanted an apology for what happened that night. I am old enough to know sometimes we have to make our own closure. This is me trying.
