OBJECTIVES - Learn to code music - Learn to design and create a theremin - Design and create “touch cap” instruments (drumpad/keyboard) - Create TouchOSC UX - Learn to code in Python - Learn use OSC - Create custom Minecraft worlds using MCPI API MUSIC - Create riffs & ostinatos in Sonic Pi: - Create synthdefs in Supercollider for use in Sonic Pi - Instruments: *Create electronic circuitry with Raspberry Pi, HC-SR04 Sonar and MPR121 modules* - Theremin - HC SR04 (You design your theremin to fit your aesthetics) - Drum pads, tablas, Keyboard - (MPR121) - Bass guitar/microphone (Input Live music into Sonic Pi and add FX) Craft Arts - Design and construct a cosplay gauntlet to control (trigger): - Music within Sonic Pi and Minecraft - Trigger custom Minecraft Python functions, e.g., buildings structures or transport to different coordinates HARDWWARE: - Mac/Pc - Raspberry Pi 4/Zero W - Arduino Nano - MPR121 (I2C: 12 individual electrodes - Touch Capacitive) - HC-SR04 (Ultrasonic Distance Sensor) SOFTWARE - Sonic Pi (Synthesizer) - Garageband - Java - Minecraft - Audacity - Thonny/Idle/Geany IDE Set up COMM *Learn to confidently set up OSC communications between applications* - VNC - OSC - SunFlower - TouchOSC - IP Scanner Minecraft Server - Spigot server *Learn the basics of setting up your own Spigot Server in order to control Minecraft with Python* CODING - Python - MCAPI
