Warehouse Manager Gordon Companies Inc. is seeking a warehouse manager to oversee the operations of our Silver Creek NY Location. The ideal candidate will work primarily from our Silver Creek location and will need to have the ability to travel to other warehouse locations as needed. Please call Larry J @716-206-3401 to schedule an interview or send your resume to: [email protected] Warehouse Manager Duties • Overseeing basic operations, such as receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance of products, picking, packing and distribution activities of multiple warehouses. • Developing and adjusting shift schedules to accommodate the order volume. • Using the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency by improving the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organize special requirements for specific types of stock, such as non-conforming material, area, goods pending return to vendors, and inventory returns. • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation laws and requirements. • Coordinate with box truck drivers to retail stores, warehouses, and other delivery locations. • Effectively manage personnel including temporary staff as well as dealing with issued related training. • Maintain a high level of verbal and written communication within the organization via phone, email, text with staff, coworkers, superiors, and vendors. • Manage the FIFO requirements within the company guidelines regarding shipping and receiving of all goods, • Strong ability to motivate, train and Core team building and assure all standards are met consistently. • Ability to train and maintain all records of proper equipment certifications compliance with OSHA. • Oversee and manage the data entry tasks related to shipping and receiving within the IT, CASI and Deposco shipping systems. Job Requirements • Preferably 5-10 years of proven warehouse management experience. • Must have valid NYS driver’s License • Must be willing to travel (locally) to the various warehouses when necessary. • Must be willing to engage with direct hands on – hit the ground running attitude. • Must be forklift certified and able to operate forklift equipment as needed. • Ability to operate/train personnel on all equipment in the warehouse. • Ability to lift 50-110 lbs. • Must be willing to work weekends (when necessary).
