Pono Security is in immediate need of Field Training Officers, with a starting rate of 18.00/hour, paid weekly! We hope you are ready to set the standard for professionalism in security. Our ideal candidate has strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent situational awareness. We need someone who can remain calm in high-pressure situations, and understands the importance of verbal de-escalation. We are seeking guards that we are proud of, as they interact with the public daily as our representatives. Responsibilities Surveillance – Patrol the grounds or buildings as assigned, regularly. If suspicious activity is detected, refer to the local authorities. Review surveillance cameras and monitor crowds as needed. Establish and review the identification required to enter the building or property. Verify all doors, windows, and gates are secure on the property on a rotating schedule. Escort released employees off the property as well as any other trespassers. Investigation – Respond to any alerts of suspicious activity. If a person is under suspicion of criminal activity, secure the environment and person, and report to the local authorities. Perform other related duties as assigned. Reporting – Must be able to write concise and detailed incident reports and follow-up reports. All reports will be in digital, utilizing your smartphone. Uniform Pono will provide you with a branded uniform shirt, for use on the job. Candidates must provide black Dickies-style or tactical pants (no jeans or spandex material), as well as black shoes, socks and belt. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent is required - Security guard training certification preferred - Must own a serviceable modern smartphone - Must have reliable source of transportation - Must have excellent customer service skills and a desire to excel in your position Job Description -FTO will have access to our TrackTik system, complete with an onboarding chat room, -Guide and train new employees through TrackTik Shift. -Explain the importance of acknowledging and approving shifts on TrackTik Shift, -Guide new employees through TrackTik Guard Tour, and train them on these essential tasks: proper guard uniforms, required guard identification, guard clock in process, signing in to the job site, publishing required officer reports (on-site/hourly / patrol/incident), and clock out process. -Explain to each employee the importance of being thorough for the full shift. -Explain to the employee the importance of Pono expectations and uniform standards, -Verify that the guard is fully trained, and then notify their Scheduling Manager that they require a schedule, -Once a schedule has been issued, FTO will visit the guard on site and verify their proficiency, -Other tasks, as directed by Pono Security management. Schedule Various Days and Hours We expect you to fulfill your scheduled shifts faithfully, and only accept those shifts which you can complete.
