HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Delta is temporarily suspending service to a number of markets that are served by multiple airports. According to a news release, Delta will suspend service at 10 airports around the country, including two in the Hudson Valley. "Building on the numerous health and safety measures Delta has implemented in recent weeks to protect our customers and employees, we will temporarily consolidate our operations in several markets served by multiple airports beginning May 13 while customer volume is significantly reduced," a statement on the Delta News Hub said. The changes will allow the airline's front-line employees to minimize their exposure to the new coronavirus while ensuring access to service at neighboring airports, the company said. In the Hudson Valley, service at Westchester County Airport will be suspended, while service at LaGuardia Airport continues. New York Stewart International Airport will be suspended, while service at John F. Kennedy International Airport will go on. The airline said service will remain suspended at least until September as Delta continues to evaluate overall network needs. Delta said it has extended waived change fees and the flexibility to travel through Sept. 30, 2022, to customers with canceled travel through September. Like Hudson Valley Patches' Facebook Pages.
