PRJC is bringing back our favorite Jefferson Street Strutters for our June concert. The present day Jefferson Street Strutters band was formed by a group of government traffic engineers for off duty recreation and who adopted the name The Traffic Jammers. With the Washington area’s legendary traffic mess, that name begged to be changed and it did when the band started rehearsing a member’s basement on Jefferson Street, Falls Church. What has remained the same is the band’s devotion to toe tapping tunes of the early jazz days through the twenties, thirties and beyond. Its present day members are anxiously awaiting to perform again for PRJC with a roster of exciting vocals and instrumental solos.
