Construction Mechanic Wanted $2000 signing bonus! Job Summary: ● Perform skilled maintenance and/or fabrication work on construction equipment. ● The position is responsible for skilled maintenance, diagnostics and repair of engines and hydraulic transmission, and electrical systems powering heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, road construction and maintenance machinery and vehicles, medium and light weight equipment, and high-performance engines. ● Performs equipment and electrical troubleshooting to test operational efficiency and determine cause of malfunction and repairs to equipment. ● Work area in Lake Crystal, but occasionally must travel to job sites. Job Type: Full time with benefits (minimum 40 hours per week during offseason, OT eligible during season) Benefits Include: ● Medical, Dental, Life Insurance ● Paid holidays ● 401k with company match ● Company paid lodging ● Per Diem ● Paid training ● $25-$35; depending on Experience Qualifications: ● Valid Class A or B driver's license with no brake restrictions and tanker endorsement and a Valid Commercial Vehicle Inspectors obtained by the end of the probationary period (within 6 months of hire date) required and safe driving record. ● Would prefer 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic which includes: diagnosis, repair, maintenance and modification of both heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment and gasoline powered vehicles. ● Must be able to diagnose and repair engines, brakes, drive train, steering/suspension and hydraulics. ● Pre-employment drug testing. ● Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, stand, climb, shovel and lift up to 75 lbs. and perform numerous tasks that require physical agility and manual dexterity. ● Must be able to work extended hours during the construction season, and willing to travel. ● Must be able to work outdoors, sometimes in extreme weather conditions. ● Conduct self in a professional manner at all times in the execution of duties. ● Must report to work as scheduled. ● Maintain professional demeanor in all dealings with clients, supervisors and employees.   Duties and Responsibilities: ● Demonstrate the ability to communicate with co-workers effectively and professionally. ● Must work as a team to complete jobs safely and effectively. ● Demonstrate proficiency in adhering to all Federal, State, and Local laws. ● Follow and comply with all company Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations. ● Other duties as assigned.
