QUALITY CONTROL SPECIALIST We are searching for a professional, self-motivated Quality Control Specialist for Plant 80 located on 6thStreet. The right person will assist in the documentation, training, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our quality management system. This employee will work closely with production, engineering, purchasing and customer service. Experience preferred but not required for the following: Microsoft Office Suite, quality assurance activities, technical experience in wood manufacturing. BENEFITS: Flexible Vacation Major Medical + Dental/Vision Life Insurance 401K Retirement Job Duties and Responsibilities: External complaint follow-up and correction Internal defect tracking, reporting, follow-up and correction In-process inspection of products Incoming vended part inspection Support of special inspection processes Calibration of measuring equipment Identification and initiation of engineering changes Ability to make decisions on the aesthetic quality of our products Professional License/Specialized Training: Classroom training in quality control procedures and ideals Experience: + 1 to 3 years Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Skills/Competencies: Functional and practical experience with standard woodworking processes, strong math and measuring/calibration skill set, strong written and oral communication, functional and practical experience in creative problem solving, ability to read engineering drawings, ability to tell color Equipment/Programs: Microsoft Office Suite, tape measure, caliper, ruler, squares, fixtures, forms, templates, color panels, fabric swatches Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
