The Job (It's not just a job, it's an opportunity to build something special!) The Housekeeper serves as support staff for the Community Manager and Receiver. They are responsible for ensuring day-to-day sanitation standards are completed and maintained, including food safe sanitation practices. They will perform preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment and sanitation in the common areas. The Housekeeper works closely with the Community Manager, Receiver and Community Members. They will be an integral part of ensuring the standards of the facility are upheld or exceeded. Duties and responsibilities Facilities: Sanitation of common areas and kitchens Verification of sanitation performed by kitchen users Maintenance on all equipment as required Interacting with our community members and internal staff Food safety practices must be followed Events: Assist with preparations for events including moving equipment and furniture. Set-up and breakdown. People: Support Community Manager and Receiver. Provide excellent customer service to our Community Members. Be helpful, polite and supportive of our partners. Qualifications 1-2 years of sanitation experience with client interaction. 6 months of maintenance activities. Food industry experience and food safety experience a plus. A friendly, helpful, professional nature with a strong attention to detail. Comfortable working independently and within a team. Systems and goals oriented. Dedicated and reliable. Comfortable using technology and able to follow written and oral instructions. Working conditions Working in a commercial kitchen environment with kitchen equipment and chemicals present. Safety practices must be observed, and Personal Safety Equipment must be worn when required. This position is required to spend most of the time indoors, however there will be some outdoor duties and occasional need to access the roof. Physical requirements This job requires being on your feet for most of the time. Lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/rolling up to 500 lbs and climbing up and down ladders will often be required. Compensation Wages: $16.00 / hour minimum starting pay with regularly scheduled raises for good performance.
