HARRISON, NY – A White Plains woman who police said was driving with a suspended license faces charges of drunken driving in Harrison. New York State police said Maria Caligiuir, 38, was stopped on I-287 at 4 a.m. Nov. 30.
The trooper discovered she had a suspended license. After further observation, she was arrested and taken to state police barracks in New Rochelle, where her blood alcohol content was found to be .15 percent, police alleged.
A check of her driving history turned up the fact that she had a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years. She was charged with felony DWI and first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, which is also a felony.
Caligiuri was released to a sober third party and issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on Dec. 17, police said.
