HARRISON, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we're helping to recognize these everyday heroes. This submission comes from Liz Arnoff of Harrison, who nominated her niece, Amanda Luiso of Harrison. Luiso is a nurse. Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored? She's a cancer survivor, identified as being high-risk for COVID-19. A few weeks ago, she was sick with the virus and miraculously recovered. Amanda puts her life at risk each and every day she goes to work. What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
