Just checking. Looking for a few older (50ish and up or maybe you just feel old) who play guitar, banjo bass, spoons, fiddle, mandolin who know you are not ready for doing gigs but would like to bang around, learn some songs.
Would like focus to be traditional oldtimey songs of faith such as Turn your radio on, Some Glad Morning, Power in the Blood, that sort of thing. If you are a person of faith or not uncomfortable around believers you will fit right in.
Throw in Arlo Guthery, maybe early Paul Simon. We would all present songs of interest. Could be country, bluegrass, ballads.
If you can play basic cords (A,D, C, G, E, F) we could have some fun. No judgement, no divas, just some older guys or gals hanging out and maybe irritating the neighbors. If you are pretty good or professional, bring your patience. If you like to play but very unsure of yourself, bring your desire to get better and expect help, encouragement, non-judgement and others that will promise to not laugh and point. A good sense of humor is very not essential but invited.
Drop me an email.
Thanks.
By the way, if this goes well and get better and have fun, I see doing some events like resthomes retirement centers or other simple things. If it goods bad, we meet a few new friends, have some refreshments and go home. I don't like pressure and will not promote it. Looking forward to meeting you all.
