The Tire Maintenance Manager hires, trains and oversees the work of technicians who monitor the maintenance and overall condition of tires on company equipment. This position enforces and administers quality and safety policies and procedures, oversees the work of personnel performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and ensures that all parts and technician hours are entered on repair orders.
High school diploma or its equivalent and at least 10 years of experience working on commercial vehicles OR completion of a technical school program and at least four years of experience;
At least five years of supervisory experience in a shop environment;
Strong mechanical background;
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; and
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite – e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook.
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE);
At least one year of experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products – i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook; and
College or technical school-level coursework in automotive maintenance.
Valid class C driver’s license; and
Record of safe driving for the last three years as shown on current MVR, with no serious accidents or traffic violations.
