Transportation and Warehousing company seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician. This position will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. We need experience in one or more fields: carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing. Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. This is a full-time nonexempt hourly position. Key Job Responsibilities * Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed * Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities * Clean windows, doors, offices, exterior parking areas daily/weekly * Prepare and arrange furniture for events and classes * Change all HVAC filters * Change and maintain all lighting internally/externally * Remove and dispose of all recyclable materials * Perform other work related duties as assigned * Schedule and work with outside contractors when needed * On-call maintenance for all facilities 24/7 * Maintain property including snow removal Must be able to work flexible hours Some travel required - we have multiple locations: Cleveland Oh / Muscatine Iowa / Conklin New York Education and Work Experience Requirements: * High School or equivalent * 5 plus years in facilities maintenance * Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry * Ability to work with minimal Supervision * Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task Physical Requirements: * ability to push/lift 75 pounds * ability to climb ladders * bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require * ability to work in extreme temperatures * work in high noise levels requiring hearing protection * working with lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints EOE
