U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton's 'Veterans Town Hall' Goes Virtual

SALEM, MA — U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton and noted author Sebastian Junger will co-host their annual Veterans Town Meeting virtually this year because of the coronavirus health crisis. The meeting, which has been held each year since 2015, can be streamed here on Wednesday at 7 p.m. "Starting the tradition of Veterans Town Halls is one of the most meaningful things I've had the opportunity to do as a member of Congress," said Moulton, ,who was re-elected to a fourth term in Congress last week. "Recent vets like myself are fortunate to return home to a grateful nation, but with so few serving these days, most Americans aren't quite sure how to relate to us. "These town halls help bridge the gap between vets and the communities we fought to serve. Hearing these stories is downright powerful, and I hope you'll tune in on Wednesday." Moulton's first Veterans Town Hall was held at Abbott Hall in Marblehead in 2015. Junger is the author of "The Perfect Storm" and the book "Tribe" that tackled the challenges of post-traumatic stress among veterans. His suggestion in an article about the book is "making every town and city hall in the country available to veterans who want to speak publicly about the war."
