Catalina Passenger service is hiring for full time deckhand position. Our high speed ferry the Catalina Flyer runs between Newport Beach on the Balboa Peninsula and Avalon on Catalina Island. A typical shift is from 8:00am to 6:30pm. As a deckhand the job duties are as follows, line handling for vessel, taking tickets, helping load luggage, assist passengers and are familiar with emergency procedures as well as general knowledge of the vessel and daily cleaning. No boating experience is necessary to apply for the job, once you are hired we will train and teach you everything you need to know. At our company there is lots of room for growth and opportunity. Qualifications 1. Minimum 18 years of age and not prone to seasickness 2. Coast Guard drug screen and a background check 3. Must be able to work 30 - 40 hours a week 4. Customer service skills 5.
