Apply Now: Location Salt Lake City, UT Division Labor on Loan LOL-UT-SALTLAKECITY-ADESA-PREPPER #186S Job Scope: Prepare repaired and primed automotive body panels for refinish coat application in a manner consistent with shop standards and procedures. Formulate and apply automotive refinish materials to vehicle surfaces and sub-assemblies. Job Responsibilities: Inspect incoming panels for properly completed body repairs and primer applications; Mask/protect any areas adjacent to panel(s) to be prepared Apply abrasives and use hand and power tools in preparing panels for final refinish Remove all dust and other particles from prepared panels. Inspect panels for adherence to shop standards for preparation Inspect condition of panels to be painted for any defects in repair, prepping or masking; refer any issues discovered to supervisor Inspect refinish products to be used for proper formulation Mix refinished products (primer, base and clear) in amounts required to cover designated area Apply refinish coating using spray equipment Clean and maintain all paint formulation and spray application equipment and maintain paint and storage areas Keep shop area clean and tidy. Perform work in accordance to safety standards. Meet daily production and quality goals. Maintain a safe, clean and organized shop and work area Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: Previous experience in detail shop, car wash, car rental or buffing experience helpful but not required. Certificate in automotive paint preparation and application preferred Valid driver’s license. Successful completion of background check and drug test Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for long periods of time, push, pull, bend, stoop and lift up to 30 lbs.
