Press release from Salem State University: Nov. 2, 2020 Patricia Libby of Salem has been named the 2020 recipient of the Salem State University Alumni Association Volunteer of the Year Award for her dedicated service and contributions to Salem State University. A graduate of Salem State's class of 1971, Libby has been an avid volunteer and advocate for Salem State for over a decade. Her volunteer work includes serving as president of the Friends of Education. She has been an at-large member of the Salem State Alumni Association Board of Directors for the past decade, currently holding the position of vice president for outreach. "Pat is an amazing team player who works tenaciously to accomplish the tasks at hand," said Joe Wamness, former alumni association president and Libby's nominator. "She is always willing to volunteer her time, talent and treasure in any way needed. She is a pleasure to work alongside, truly values the mission of SSU, and cares deeply about making affordable education available for students on the North Shore. I am proud to call Pat Libby a friend, and I value her commitment to SSU immensely." The Volunteer of Year Award is presented to an alumnus/a who has made outstanding contributions through dedicated volunteer service to Salem State University.
