Join us on Sat, June 4th for IKE'S FISH FOR FUN to reconnect with nature and gain experience fishing at this FREE event... Enjoy a day of fishing with family, food, and prizes! The Illinois Department of Natural Resources, City of Elgin Parks and Recreation, Cook County Forest Preserve District, and Izaak Walton League welcomes all ages and skill levels to attend this FREE family-friendly event. During this fun day, prizes will be awarded to youth by age group while everyone enjoys the FREE hot dogs, chips, and water prepared by Golden Eagle Hot Dogs! Fishing poles and quick fishing lessons will be available for those in need, and ALL youth participants will have an opportunity to win raffle prizes and other giveaways. Attendees can also view a variety of animal hides and pelts at the Illinois Conservation Police's Wildlife Education Trailer. You MUST register for this event as space is limited.
