Free Storefront SeminarThe Downtown Everett Association is excited to bring in national retail experts Frontdoor Back, Retail Store Design to teach local businesses best practices of storefront design. As we return to in-person shopping, stores should be refreshed and ready to make a new ‘first impression’ to capture their share of local sales. Learn the must-haves for creating eye-catching storefronts and engaging stores that increase foot traffic and boost sales. The design seminar, sponsored by DEA, is offered at no cost to businesses in Downtown Everett. The How Behind the Wow: Creating Stellar Stores, a 90-minute store design seminar, is packed with great examples of retail do’s and don’ts that educate merchants on retail best practices. Following the seminar, the DEA has contracted with presenters and retail experts Seanette Corkill and Anne Marie Luthro of Frontdoor Back to provide one-on-one consultations for individual stores. These 60-minute on-site consultations will provide business owners a Top 5 list of action items to get their stores looking and functioning at their best. Businesses must attend the seminar to be eligible to receive a free consultation, but do not have to apply for a consultation in order to attend the seminar. The presentation is open to all businesses in Everett interested in learning more about best practices of store design. The seminar will be hosted in the Anderson Room at the Everett Performing Arts Center (Village Theatre); refreshments will be provided. Free Personalized Consultations The DEA will work with Frontdoor Back to select 10 eligible businesses for on-site consultations and reports at no cost to the business. Regardless of genre (Professional Services, Food & Beverage or Retail), criteria for selection include location in Everett’s Downtown Improvement District, a ground floor location, attendance of the educational group presentation, and submittal of application for consideration. Businesses will be selected to receive either Tier I or Tier II consultations with reports based upon the maximum available number of each type of consultation, the businesses’ needs, and their commitment on following through with at least one of the recommendations. Applications for the consultations will open on Monday, April 25 and close Monday, May 9. Businesses will be notified of selection by Monday, May 16. The application can be found at dteverett.org/storefronts. About the Downtown Everett Association We are the Downtown Everett Association (DEA), a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization.
