Gail Smith, MS, LMFT Behavioral Clinical Strategy Team Lead As a Behavioral Clinical Strategist Gail acts as a Subject Matter Expert to Cigna Sales teams, supporting New Business Managers, Client Managers and market leadership within the sales organization. She possesses an in-depth knowledge of advanced market issues and Cigna’s Behavioral Health products. She partners with behavioral operations to maintain a working knowledge of all clinical, health care partners and operational processes necessary to support clients and sales teams. Gail also provides oversight for the Behavioral Clinical Strategist team supporting all U.S. markets. Gail has been with Cigna since 2011 and has experience both in Behavioral Operations as a Care Manager and Clinical Lead, as well as her current role of Behavioral Clinical Strategy Team Lead within the sales organization. Gail is also a board approved clinical supervisor and former experiences include outpatient therapy, in-home family and child/adolescent therapy, day treatment, and working with the developmentally disabled. Gail earned a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Cloud State University and holds a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Gail is a certified instructor in adult, fire/EMS, and youth Mental Health First Aid. Gail holds an Insurance Producer’s license in accident, health, and life. Jason Youngblood, LPC, CPT Director – Cigna US Markets Behavioral Center of Excellence & Sales Operations Jason Youngblood is the Director of Cigna's U.S. Commercial Behavioral Center of Excellence and Cigna's Behavioral Innovation Lab. Jason’s team is responsible for providing clinical consultation to Cigna clients and producer partners, as well as creating and delivering evidence based engagement opportunities to drive behavioral health awareness and improved well-being, within employee populations. Jason’s team also manages the distribution of Cigna's award winning Employee Assistance Program. Jason is a Licensed Professional Counselor, in the state of Maryland, as well as a Personal Trainer, and focuses on the link between mind and body, and the impact to personal wellness. Jason has been with Cigna for 19 years. Prior to joining Cigna, Jason provided clinical services in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient behavioral treatment modalities. Jason has a clinical sub-specialty in addictions treatment, including providing psychotherapy services to individuals and families with both mental health and substance use concerns. In addition, Jason holds a Producer’s License in Life and Health Insurance, in the state of Maryland, and is a provider of Producer continuing education. Jason obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from Juniata College, and a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology, from Towson University. Jason credits running and exercise as vital elements to support his ability successfully manage work, home, and parenting responsibilities, to the best of his abilities. He lives in Maryland with his wife, two daughters, two dogs, and a precocious pet Chinchilla.
