Are you interested in taking on birding as a new hobby? Join us for a nature walk down the scenic Fowler Trail with other beginner birders!
Birding is a fun and easy to learn new hobby which allows us to take the time to observe the living world around us and to spend time in nature. Bird watching inspires us to stay curious and use our senses to observe these wonderful animals in their natural environments. Take the time to identify Eldorado's large diversity of birds, while taking in moments you can share not only with the group, but also your family and friends.
Please arrive a few minutes early, walks will begin promptly at 4:30pm; meet at Eldorado Canyon Visitor Center located at 9 Kneale Road, Eldorado Springs, CO 80025.The program is free, but a valid Colorado State Park's Pass is required to enter and can be purchased at the entrance station or visitor center. The fee is $10 per vehicle.Restrooms are available near visitor center The walks will focus on birds and birding, and include information about the habitats and areas we are walking in All levels of birders are welcome, no experience necessaryPlease bring binoculars and dress for changing weatherBinoculars are available to check out from Park Rangers before the walk begins, if neededPark Volunteers, Pete and Donna will co-lead the walk, however, one of our staff naturalists will also be along to answer questions you may have about the Park We will send a message to confirm the trip and remind participants to cancel if they can no longer attend, so those on the waitlist can join the walk.
