Driver Sought In East Harlem Crash That Killed Neighbor

HARLEM, NY — Police are searching for a driver who fled a flipped car after it crashed in East Harlem on Saturday, killing a man who lived nearby. The crash happened around 12:55 a.m. Saturday in the intersection of East 110th Street and Third Avenue. According to police, 51-year-old Manuel Enealada-Villa was crossing the street when a white 2020 Honda Accord heading north on Third Avenue struck him in the intersection. The driver fled before losing control five blocks north near East 115th Street, causing the car to flip on its side. The driver then fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said. Enealada-Villa lived about two blocks south. A construction worker, he hailed from Ecuador and was heading home from work when he was killed, CBS reported. Enealada-Villa's partner described him as "loving, kind, [and] generous," and a loving father of four children. Police have made no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
