“Doing and Understanding the Stock Selection Guide” This program year the Kansas City Chapter of BetterInvesting will be using BetterInvesti “Doing and Understanding the Stock Selection Guide” This program year the Kansas City Chapter of BetterInvesting will be using BetterInvesting On Line Tools software to teach the Stock Selection Guide (SSG). Emphasis will be on understanding the SSG, how to identify growth stocks, where and how to exercise judgment to determine the correct price to pay for a stock if purchasing, using suggested research sites found on the internet, and importing the data using Morningstar Stock Data Services.The Stock Selection Guide II (SSG) Class is a continuation of SSGI. SSG II completes the back of the Guide. Management is examined more thoroughly and it is on the back that we determine a forecast P/E and a price range for an acceptable buying opportunity, calculate Relative Value, determine the amount of risk, if bought, estimate the average yield, and the compound total return.All of the SSG Classes are progressive – each assuming you have an understanding of the information in the previous class. SSG I & II can also be used as a refresher course if you need a brush up on your understanding of the SSG. Please bring pens or pencils and calculators to each class.  $40 Walk-in Late Fee.
