Hosted by AAA Texas, this workshop helps parents and their pre-permit teens (age 14-17) navigate the learning-to-drive process. Workshop topics include: • State Graduated Driver Licensing requirements and restrictions • Risks and responsibilities of driving • Parent’s role in the learning process • How to pick a safe vehicle • What to look for in a driving school • How to use our AAA Parent/Teen Driving Agreement to set expectations of each other and keep the lines of communication open pertaining to specific driving scenarios. • LOTS of safety information pertaining to distracted, impaired, drowsy driving and what to do when your car breaks down.
