Description
Enjoy Butte Falls' long & rich history on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 12p-4p with guided tours of 4 heritage sites & a prize if you go to all
The Town of Butte Falls will celebrate its long and rich history on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. with tours of four heritage sites: The Old Medco Caboose, the Butte Falls Fish Hatchery (now a Natural Resource Center for the Butte Falls School District), the Pioneer Cemetery and the Smith House and Museum. Butte Falls Heritage Day is a rare opportunity to experience the town and see these historic locations, some of which have been closed to the public for years.
Plan your afternoon in Butte Falls as a Heritage Hop, with prizes to those who visit all four historic locations. Pick up an entry card at any of the four heritage sites, stop in to tell a yarn or hear one at each of the locations and then turn your stamped card in at the Sugar Pine Company Café at 342 Broad Street by 4 p.m. that day to collect your prize.
Butte Falls Heritage Day events are free, open to all who love history.
Butte Falls Heritage Day is made possible in part by a grant from the Oregon Heritage Commission to the Big Butte Historical Society with the support of Southern Oregon University. For more information message Cory Hamann on Facebook, phone 541-821-6850 or email her at [email protected]
