Description
We are looking to re-home our 6 year old Pit mix, Mia. She's 40lbs, spayed, and up to date on shots. According to a DNA test, she is a mix of Collie, Shar Pei, and Bulldog.
We recently moved and no longer have a fenced-in yard. She likes to follow her nose, and went too far into the woods, and got tangled in a barbwire fence. 15 stitches in her neck, but thankfully she's better now! We are very concerned about it happening again!
She has lived with three children under the age of 5, so she is used to a house that is rambunctious, but we believe she would best enjoy a home with older kids or adults. She has a dominant personality, so I would recommend she be the only dog. That being said, she can be friendly with other dogs if given slow, proper introductions. She loves people!
She knows basic request commands (no, come, sit, shake, lay down, stop, etc) but could use a refresher on leash skills.
The open space and her nose/smell drive make it difficult for us to allow the kids the freedom to roam and she needs a fenced in yard and more attention than we can give her.
She will come with current food, toys, bath, leash, harness, and dog bed. She is up to date on her shots and we will provide you with our vet so you can have all information.
We're first and foremost looking for a loving home for her that can continue loving her the best way possible - she's our pup and we want her loved on. A small rehoming fee can be discussed when inquiring, we're looking for fit more than anything.
Please contact me for more information and to meet.
