30-Year-Old Tampa Man Charged With Murder In Nov. 2 Shooting

TAMPA, FL — The U.S. Marshal's Service has arrested 30-year-old Taymel Jerome Jackson in connection to a homicide that took place Nov. 2 at 22nd Street Park Disc Golf Course, 7800 N 22nd St., Tampa. At 2:43 p.m. Nov. 2, Tampa police responded to a call about an unconscious person. When they arrived, they discovered a man dead from gunshots to his upper body. During their investigation, detectives uncovered information indicating that Jackson and Sherron McCombs conspired to kill Christopher Watson on Nov. 1 after he provided information to law enforcement on a drug-related crime. However, their whereabouts was unknown until Monday when a task force with the U.S. Marshal's Service caught up with Jackson. McCombs is still at large. Jackson has been charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy and tampering with evidence. Anyone with information on McCombs' whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
