EAST VILLAGE, NY — A man was recently stabbed repeatedly throughout his body within Tompkins Square Park in the East Village, police said on Sunday.
The stabbing unfolded April 18 when a 35-year-old man got in an argument with another, unidentified man about 5:50 p.m. inside the park near East 7th Street and Avenue, police said.
The dispute escalated and the unidentified man stabbed the 35-year-old repeatedly in the left shoulder, right shoulder, chest, left arm, right forearm, left leg, left calf and right calf, police said.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical but stable condition, police added.
NYPD released a photo on Sunday of the man wanted in connection to the knife attack. There have been no arrests.
