Description
The Teen Health Study at Stanford University is looking for female adolescents between the ages of 13 and 15 and their parents to participate in a study investigating healthy adolescent development and eating behaviors.
Teens will be asked to come to Stanford University for one baseline assessment, an fMRI scan, as well as follow-up assessments at 6 months and then annually for the following 4 years. The baseline assessment will take about 2 hours to complete and will consist of a few surveys, a structured interview, and various computer tasks. Each follow-up assessment will last approximately one hour and will consist of a few more surveys and a short interview. Parents will be asked to transport their child to and from appointments associated with the study and help schedule the visits. Parents will also complete an interview over-the-phone about their eating behaviors and a brief survey.
We welcome all parents to complete the interest form which can be found here:. After completion of the interest form, a member of the research team will reach out to schedule an eligibility phone call!
Adolescents could earn up to $225 for completing all assessments.
