Description

NORTH BELLMORE, NY — A developer is listening to concerns from the community about a proposed rental property at the former location of Temple Beth-El in North Bellmore. The public can hear from the developer Scott Leyton on May 3 at the North Bellmore Library. Leyton said he already has made changes to the plans based on comments at a Town Board meeting. The project will now become an age-restricted building, requiring the residents are 55 years or older. The developer said that change will "dramatically reduce traffic and ensure there is zero impact" on the North Bellmore School District. Additionally, the height and size of the building are being reduced by replacing all three-bedroom units with two-bedroom units.
