WESTFIELD, NJ — A bear was spotted in Brightwood Park in Westfield, according to a Nixle alert from Westfield Police Wednesday afternoon. Westfield Police said residents should use extreme caution if they are in the area of the park. Brightwood Park is located on 1175 Prospect Street. Residents are urged to report any bear sightings to the Westfield Department immediately. A bear was also spotted last week in Westfield.
