Phil Delgado, of the VFW Post 399 in Westport, announced that the Town of Westport will hold Veterans Day services on Wednesday, November 11 at the VFW Post 399. The program will be held outdoors beginning at 11:00 am.
The program will include Posting the Colors; welcoming remarks by First Selectman Jim Marpe; placing of a memorial wreath by members of VFW Post 399 and American Legion Post 63; Firing Detail conducted by the Westport Police Department; and will conclude with honoring 5 Veterans who have been invited to this year's ceremony.
Due to the Phase 2.1 COVID-19 restrictions and to ensure safety for all, attendance at this event will be by invitation only. A video of the ceremony will be posted on all Town social media pages and Optimum Channel 79/Frontier Channel 6020 shortly after the conclusion of the ceremony.
