I’m a drummer in Oakland looking for like-minded deviants to play some raw, dark post-punk with prominent gothic, anarcho, and no wave vibes. The sound I have in mind would draw heavily on classic influences like CHROME, SWELL MAPS, VIRGIN PRUNES, THE EX, WIRE, VEX, IPSO FACTO, SECT-OR THREE, PERE UBU, etc. and more recent groups like EDUCATION, THE DRIN, LIIEK, and DIAT. I’m very passionate about anarchy, lived poetry, DIY publishing, and magick, so any shared interests in those areas would be ideal. Hit me up and let’s make some anxious, pitch-black filth.
