Drummer and guitarist wanted for re-forming blues+ band based in Berkeley. Currently, we are a female vocalist, an alto sax player and a bassist/vocalist. We've been playing songs written by Howlin’ Wolf, Taj Mahal, Robert Johnson, Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, Sam Cooke and Rufus Thomas. Vocal influences include Etta James, Susan Tedeschi and Bonnie Raitt. We are looking to broaden our repertoire to R&B, blues rock, New Orleans and others. We'd welcome a drummer who also has a cajon or a small trap set, for smaller venues. Slide guitar would be a plus, as would a harp player / vocalist. Commitment: rehearse once a week (rented studio in Oakland) plus local gigs. Must be triple vaccinated.
