WESTPORT, CT — The gorgeously decorated shop window at The Plumed Serpent Bridal and Evening Wear on the Post Road East was the Grand Prize winner of Westport's Annual Holiday Window Decorating Contest, the Westport Downtown Merchants Association and the Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce announced. Forty-four local businesses registered to compete in the event's four categories for the most loved windows this holiday season: Local independent retailers (Mom & Pops), National Chains, Restaurant / Deli and Non-Retail. Residents and shoppers were the judges and cast their votes online via mobile device or at the Chamber of Commerce website. "SO thrilled to announce we are the Grand Prize winner in the 2020 Holiday Decorating Contest!" The Plumed Serpent's owners wrote on Facebook. "THANK YOU to everyone who voted, liked, commented, & shared our window posts. Happy Holidays to all!" In addition to The Plumed Serpent, which also won the Mom & Pop category, the other winners were: National Chain - Anthropology Restaurant / Deli - Joe's Pizza Non Retail - Artistex Salon and Spa As the Grand Prize winner The Plumed Serpent will receive a dinner for four at Don Memo in downtown Westport. "The Chamber and DMA want to thank all the businesses that participated and all the residents and shoppers who voted," officials said. "Happy Holidays to everyone."
